Asgard Swimmers on home turf at the Wicklow Community Games 2017

Coral pool in Arklow hosted the finals of the Wicklow Community Games today, familiar surroundings for the many Asgard swimmers who represented their areas today. The competition came from far and wide across the Garden County, everyone rooting for their own particular town or village. A packed house witnessed some great swimming, and the excitement and cheering nearly lifted the roof off the building! Asgard swimmers were once again to the fore, as they all produced masterclasses in diving, turns, and correct stroke technique throughout. There were some great races and fast times put down from everyone (coach Remi was watching and very impressed with everyones work!)- several Asgard swimmers won their races, and will now go forward to the all-Ireland Community Games finals in the NAC. Well done to everyone from the Asgard club who swam today- you all did your club proud, and it was obvious just how much hard work you all have been putting into your training.
