Asgard SC – Awards Day 2014 @ Gravity, Courtown

The Birthday Boy - Paul SmithAnother year passes but what a year it was for Asgard Swimming Club. We had numerous personal bests and medals won but none of this could have been achieved without the continued hard work and dedication of our swimmers and coaches (and of course the parents for supporting their children). Well done all.

On behalf of the committee I would like to thank Melissa Byrne (our outgoing secretary) for all her hard work and dedication to the club, Paul Smith our chairman, Lisa & Tim Popplewell, the two Johns (John Kealy and John Murray) our committee and all those that attended and helped out yesterday making it one of our most successful and enjoyable awards day. I am sure Paul Smith (pictured above) didn’t see himself cooking for the masses on his 50th birthday, happy birthday and thanks again Paul. It must have been like a busman’s holiday for you?

Photographs from the day are now available on our website and can be viewed here.

Finally, good look to all those taking part in the Irish Age Group Division 1 & 2 Championships. Have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you all back in the water in September.
