Asgard Swimming Club has become the only club in Ireland to be awarded two Club Marks, the highest accreditation any swim organisation can achieve.

Club Mark acts as a stamp of quality for all affiliated clubs.

The Club Mark was introduced to Asgard in 2011 to  help provide support and development from Swim Ireland to assist with the club’s development. After already successfully completing a three year Club Mark development plan with Swim Ireland in 2013, Asgard has become the first Irish club to received the prestigious award twice.

Formed in 1999, the family orientated club is based in the Coral Leisure Centre in Arklow and consists of swimmers aged from 7 to 19. The club also boasts two Olympian members, head coach John Kealy and 2012 Paralympics Gold medallist Darragh McDonald.
